Porridge puzzle solution
The servant of the lake porridge puzzle is Day 1 morning in Aldous’s room. After you cook oats and milk, add the drawer berries — an insect crawls the holes. Block each hole with a berry, squash the bug, then spoon-feed him.
Cook the porridge first
You cannot start the insect minigame until the pot is on the stove. Take wood and the bowl, milk from the crate behind the maid, the pot and dead mouse from the upstairs cabinet, feed the mouse to the cat for matches, then oats + milk until the pot steams.
Berries and the insect
Set the bedroom clock to 7:00 so Aldous sits up. After shaving and cleaning the ear, unlock the top drawer with the crow-nest key and take the berries.
Give him the bowl, pour the pot, add berries. He complains. Click the bowl: berries sit among tiny holes. Move a berry and a bug darts out. Cover every hole it uses until it cannot move, then click to squash it. Use the spoon to feed him.
- Clock 7:00 → shave → cloth on the ear → crow gets the lobe → nest key → berries.
- Bowl + pot + berries → click the bowl → block holes → squash → spoon.
