What is Servant of the Lake?

Servant of the Lake is a premium single-player point-and-click adventure puzzle game developed and published by Dutch studio Rusty Lake. Set in 1839 at the Vanderboom estate, decades before the events of Rusty Lake: Roots, you play as the newly hired housekeeper serving the eccentric family over a long weekend.

From mundane chores like straightening portraits and doing laundry to assisting in bizarre alchemical experiments and cleaning up the aftermath, the game blends everyday tasks with surreal, dark narrative. Expect atmospheric art, voice acting, haunting soundtrack by Victor Butzelaar, and classic Rusty Lake-style puzzles that reward observation and careful order.
